Stories and their effect on your emotions is the clarity you need to empower you to take control of your life.
Recognize that all your emotions are controlled by the mental stories that (you) write. So if you don’t like the way you are feeling, then change the story.
People will always say, “That seems too simple. There has to be more to it.”
Our reply, “Test it.”
We remember there was a gentlemen cleaning windows off the side of a tall building. So we decided to put this idea to the test.
We asked him why he would be willing to hang from high buildings and clean windows?
His response, “As a kid he was always a daredevil. This job gives him that adrenaline.”
Well our thoughts are the cable will break and we don’t like the image of what will happen once we get to the bottom.
With our story, it is obvious we are not going to be hanging from any roofs, anytime soon.
You can see that Fear is attached to the story that we wrote. Fear is not the problem (as the world continues to teach).
If we decided we wanted to hang from the roof and not have fear (again as everyone says), we just need to write the same stories as those that enjoy the experience.
Tip: You must “believe” the joyful story.
